Women’s Lacrosse Falls at Shenandoah

Winchester, Va. – Marymount University's women's lacrosse team dropped a 14-6 non-conference decision on the road at Shenandoah on Sunday afternoon.  The Saints fall to 2-2 overall on the season.

Marymount kept things close early, answering the Hornets goal-for-goal for the first 24 minutes of the game.  Shenandoah (3-3) then went on a 4-1 run to close out the half and take a 7-3 lead going into halftime.

In the second, both teams matched their first half totals while SU opened the frame on a 5-1 run over a 22 minute span to the game out of reach.

Defensively Molly Maher was credited with four caused turnovers and six grounds balls, both game-highs.

Samantha Sisson and Erin Higgins both led Shenandoah with four goals each.
