ARLINGTON, Va. – Marymount University women's volleyball junior Kaitlyn Doyle and men's soccer freshman Leonardo Torres have been named the Saints of the Week, following being named Atlantic East Conference Player of the Week in their respective sports.
Doyle was named the Atlantic East Player of the Week, after leading the Saints against No. 1 Johns Hopkins University on Wednesday. She put down a team-high 11 kills and boasted a .308 hitting percentage. She added three digs and one service ace, as well.
Torres earned the Atlantic East Offensive Player of the Week for an 11-point week. He put away four goals and tallied three assists to lead the Saints to a 2-1 week. In a 4-0 win over Wilson College, Torres tallied six points on two goals and two assists. He added another goal in a 2-0 win over University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg.
Doyle and the women's volleyball team will return to action on Wednesday, September 22 at home against Gettysburg College. Torres and the men's soccer team will travel to York College of Pennsylvania on Wednesday. Both contests are set for a 7 p.m., start.
