Trojillo led the Saints' women's golf team to a second-place finish at the Shenandoah University Fall Invitational last week and finished atop the individual leaderboard at the two-day event. The senior carded a total of 157 (+15) to lead the pack and tied her career-low with a 77 (+6) to open to the tournament. As a result of her efforts, Trojillo was named the Golfer of the Week for both the Atlantic East Conference and the Centennial Conference.
Varona helped the men's soccer go unblemished in two contests last week. The Miami, Florida, product's steady presence at the back was instrumental in both wins, which earned him a spot on the weekly Honor Roll from the Atlantic East. In the Saints' 3-2 win over Mt. Aloysius College, Varona worked both ends of the pitch and came up with a goal and assist. The junior followed that up with a blue-collar performance on defense in a 2-1 win against Marywood University. Varona helped hold the Pacers to just one goal while the Saints were forced to play down multiple players for the majority of the second half.
Trojillo and the women's golf team return to action on Thursday, October 28, when they trek to Malvern, Pennsylvania, for the the Atlantic East Conference Championship. Varona and the men's soccer continue Atlantic East play on Saturday, October 16 on the road against Immaculata University.
