ARLINGTON, Va. - April 4-10 is NCAA Division III Week, and Saints students and fans are invited to celebrate at several events this week.

Division III Week is a positive opportunity for all individuals associated with Division III to observe and celebrate the impact of athletics and of student-athletes on the campus and surrounding community.

The event is part of Division III's Identity Initiative, which was introduced in 2010 to sharpen the division's identity and enable schools, conferences, and student-athletes to consistently explain why they prefer to compete in Division III. The initiative is guided by a strategic-positioning platform, describing Division III as a place where student-athletes can "follow your passions and develop your potential," through an approach that combines rigorous academics, competitive athletics and an opportunity to pursue other interests.

Each Division III school and conference office is charged with conducting and promoting at least one academic, athletic, co-curricular or extracurricular event that celebrates the comprehensive Division III student-athlete experience.

Marymount's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (S.A.A.C.) will be hosting a concessions table at this week's lacrosse games- on Wednesday (men vs. Cabrini) and Saturday (women vs. Neumann).

The Athletic Department will host a breakfast for the first 100 student-athletes on Friday at 10 a.m. in the Lee Center Atrium.

On Sunday, Marymount S.A.A.C. will participate in the Atlantic East Conference Day of Service, with plans to make greeting cards for members of local senior centers.

MU S.A.A.C. has also been running Instagram takeovers and highlighting Saints student-athletes who maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA on social media.

This week's home events begin tonight as Marymount men's volleyball hosts Randolph-Macon for a CVC quarterfinal playoff showdown.
