LANCASTER, Pa. - Senior Kenny Sysyn earned Atlantic Easter Pitcher of the Week after his complete game performance against Centenary (N.J.) this past Friday.
A New Jersey native himself, the ventured right hander ate up innings for the Saints when they needed it most, kicking off a three-game conference sweep of the Cyclones. Pitching in the opener, Sysyn threw 7.0 strong innings of work, allowing just two earned runs. He struck out four to just one walk in the contest.
Sysyn has had a strong season on the mound for the Marymount baseball team, leading the Saints in innings pitched. This is the third complete game of the season for the senior, who is currently sporting a 6.91 K/9.
Marymount has a key three-game set against Neumann this upcoming weekend, looking to make their way into the AEC playoffs.
