Men’s Soccer Falters at Centenary

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – In a rematch of the 2021 Atlantic East quarterfinals, Marymount surrendered a late goal to Centenary on Saturday and fell 1-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Marymount held advantages in shots (21-14) and corner kicks (9-2) but couldn't find the back of the net.  
  • Brandon Parra picked up seven saves for Centenary to keep MU scoreless.
  • In the 78th minute, Harison Samyoa Lopez put the Cyclones on top after beating the keeper 1-on-1.
  • It was a physical second half with 10 total cards issued, including two red cards.

 

UP NEXT

  • Marymount will get a break from conference play to face Gallaudet on Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 7 PM.
  • The Saints will return to Long Bridge Park on Homecoming Weekend to host Marywood on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 1 PM.
