Men’s Tennis Competes Well at ITA Regionals

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Three Marymount men's tennis players competed in the ITA Southeast Regionals last weekend and competed well in a strong field.  


  • Seb Dijkema advanced all the way to the semifinals of the B3 flight after winning his first two matches. He fell to Dominic Suwak in the semifinals, who proceeded to win the B3 draw championship.
  • Dorian Guiot and Nicolas Stromberg both won their first-round singles matches before falling in their quarterfinal matches. Guiot dropped his quarterfinal match to the eventual champion of his flight.


Singles competition

  • B3-R16: Nicolas Stromberg (Marymount (Va.)) def. Lauren Muhlhaus (Lynchburg) 8-2
  • B3-QF: Mitch Desman (Salisbury) def. Nicolas Stromberg (Marymount (Va.)) 8-2
  • B3-R16: Seb Dijkema (Marymount (Va.)) def. Emile Paindavoine (Lynchburg) 9-7
  • B3-QF: Seb Dijkema (Marymount (Va.)) def. Kirin Eicher (Haverford) 8-6
  • B3-SF: Dominick Suwak (Shenandoah) def. Seb Dijkema (Marymount (Va.)) 8-4
  • B4-R16: Dorian Guiot (Marymount (Va.)) def. Juan Gomez Vitta (Catholic) 8-2
  • B4-QF: David Kohl Perkins (Washington (Md.)) def. Dorian Guiot (Marymount (Va.)) 8-6

Doubles competition


  • Marymount will compete in three more matches before closing out the fall campaign.
  • The Saints will travel to McDaniel on Wednesday, Oct. 5 before a two-match road swing at Ursinus and York on Saturday and Sunday.
