Softball Places Four on All-Conference Team

LANCASTER, Pa. – In its inaugural season, Marymount softball placed four student-athletes on Second Team All-Conference when the Atlantic East announced the teams on Friday.

Samantha Cinotti, Shanyn Burch, Jaclyn Burch, and Hailey Leamer all earned the distinction during their first season in the Blue and White.

Cinotti led the Saints by batting .359 this season. Through 40 games, she had eight doubles, a home run and 11 RBIs. She also stole 17 bases, good for fourth in the Atlantic East. Earlier this season, she became the first player in Marymount history to be named Atlantic East Player of the Week.

Shanyn Burch excelled as a pitcher and utility player for the Saints. In the circle, she had eight wins and a 3.58 ERA. In the batter's box, she batted .303 and was second on the team in home runs (three), doubles (11), and triples (two).  

Jaclyn Burch excelled behind the dish, holding a .968 fielding percentage and catching eight runners stealing. At the plate, she had 21 hits and three doubles.

Leamer hit .310 this season with one home run and 16 RBIs. She also added four doubles and scored 11 runs.
