ARLINGTON, Va. -- The Marymount University women's lacrosse team sported a lethal attack on Monday afternoon as the Saints raced past King's College (Pa.) by a final score of 22-5 at Long Bridge Park.
MU's offensive barrage marked the Blue and White's highest goal total in a victory since a 22-11 win over Gwynedd Mercy University in the 2019 Atlantic East Conference Tournament. The performance also marked the second time this season that the Saints have posted over 20 goals in a game.
The Saints' dominance emanated from the opening whistle with 12 goals in the first quarter of the contest. MU cruised from there, as it scored five goals in the second quarter, three in the third, and two in the final quarter of play.
Three Saints finished with five points, highlighted by Kaleigh Dunham who netted a career-high-tying five goals. Riley Love added three goals and two assists while Sarah Agrillo chipped in four goals and one helper.
Erin Cannon set a new career-high with four points on three goals and one assist. Emily Peters and Ella Baker rounded out MU's multi-point performers with three and two points, respectively. Peters finished with two goals and an assist, while Baker supplied a pair of markers.
MU puts its four-game win streak on the line on Saturday, March 12, when it hosts Manhattanville College at 2:00 p.m.
