Saints Finish Regular Season With Decisive Win

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Saints women's lacrosse team handily took a conference matchup on Wednesday evening against Gwynedd Mercy, winning by a final tally of 23-13.

With the win, Marymount moves to 14-2 overall, 4-1 in conference play.


  • Riley Love put together one of her finer performances of the year, sinking nine total goals on 14 shots. 
  • Kaleigh Dunham notched four goals and two assists on the day. 
  • Caitlyn Dunn cause three turnovers and grabbed three ground balls. 
  • Emily Peters had a solid day all around, sinking four goals, winning five draw controls, and pulling up four ground balls. 

How It Happened

  • Taylor Chepren found Love twice with an open shot in the final minute of the first period to give the Saints an 8-5 lead.
  • The Saints answered an early Gwynedd Mercy goal when Dunham found Megan Edens with an open look, sinking the shot and giving Marymount another three-goal lead. 
  • Love sank back-to-back unassisted goals in the waning minutes of the first half to give the Saints an 11-7 lead at intermission. 
  • Peters put in the final goal for the Saints in the contest with 0:33 left on the clock to take the decisive victory. 

What's Next

  • With the Saints being the #2 seed for the AEC, they will have a bye this weekend. They will be back at home next Wednesday, May. 4 for the AEC semifinals. Time is to be determined.
