CHESTER, Pa. - The Saints gutted out another strong tie against Widener University on Tuesday evening on the road, 1-1.
The tie puts the Saints at an overall record of 4-6-4, still 1-1-1 in conference play.
Notable
- Senior Laney Placido continued her strong offensive year for MU, notching her eighth goal of the year in the match.
- Hannah Mockenhaupt had 10 saves on the night.
- Eva Roros, Caleigh Barnett, and Izabella Lopez each had a shot on goal.
How It Happened
- The Saints put themselves on the board first in the match in the first half, with an unassisted goal off the foot of Placido in the 38th minute of play.
- Widener notched the equalizer in the 53rd minute of action.
- Strong defense from both teams kept the match evened up until the final whistle, sending MU home with the strong tie.
