Saints Shut Out at Cabrini

RADNOR, Pa. - Marymount women's soccer fell to the Cabrini Cavaliers in AEC action on the road on Saturday. 

With the loss, the Saints fall to 5-8-4 overall for the season, 1-3-1 in conference play. 

How It Happened

  • The two teams held each other at a stalemate through the first half of play. Grace Needham, getting the start in the goal for MU, knocked away three Cabrini shots in the half to keep a zero on the scoreboard. 
  • Cabrini hit the scoreboard first in the 61st minute of play, scoring again 10 minutes later in the 71st minute to take a 2-0 advantage in the contest. 
  • Eva Roros put up a strong shot in the 73rd minute, attempting to get the Saints on the board, but missed high.

  • Marymount will wrap up the regular season next Wednesday on the road, traveling to Immaculata for a 4:00 PM match. 
  • The Atlantic East quarterfinals will be held Monday, Oct. 31st. Details to come on the seeding of the tournament.
