Saints Tie at Immaculata to Finish Regular Season

MALVERN, Pa. - The Saints rounded out the regular season with a strong 1-1 tie at Immaculata on Wednesday evening.

MU women's soccer finishes out the regular season with a 5-8-5 record, 1-3-2 in Atlantic East play ahead of the playoffs.



  • Caleigh Barnett notched her first goal of the season, and her career, in the match to help the Saints earn the hard fought tie. 
  • Grace Needham knocked away four shots, good for four saves, in the match.
  • Allina Mbuko had three shots, all on goal, in the match. 


How It Happened

  • After giving up a goal in the first half, the Saints headed into the second searching the back of the net. Barnett, in the 57th minute, found an opportunity and sank the unassisted goal to equalize the contest. 
  • MU held strong on their defensive effort down the stretch to hold tight to the tie. 


Up Next

  • Marymount will head into AEC postseason action next. With the final seedings being reported, the Saints will head to Centenary this upcoming Monday, Oct. 31 for the first round. Time is still to be determined.
