  • Volleyball Closes Out Season With Pair of Wins

    Harrisonburg, Va. – Marymount University's volleyball team wrapped up the 2011 campaign with a pair of victories on Saturday afternoon. The Saints opened the day with a 3-1 (22-25, 26-24, 25-18, 26-24) win over Southern Virginia before topping host Eastern Mennonite 3-1 (22-25, 25-21, 25-10, 25-17) in the season finale.

    St. Mary's City, Md. – Marymount University's volleyball team dropped its final Capital Athletic Conference match of the season 3-1 (25-17, 24-26, 25-22, 25-23) on the road at St. Mary's (Md.) on Wednesday night. With the loss the Saints fall to 11-16 overall, 2-6 in league play, and are eliminated from the CAC Tournament.

    York, Pa. – Marymount University junior volleyball player Jenn Forbes was named the Capital Athletic Conference Player of the Week, as announced by league office on Monday. Forbes led the Saints to a 3-1 record on the week including a key conference victory to remain in the hunt for a postseason berth.

    Bethlehem, Pa. – Marymount University's volleyball team split both ends of a tri-match on Saturday afternoon. The Saints fell 3-0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-23) to host Moravian before defeating Lycoming 3-1 (25-8, 25-18, 25-27, 25-21) in the night cap.
